Mark Min
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Mark is the founder and CEO of Cityspan. He has more than 20 years experience developing information systems for governments, school districts and nonprofit organizations. Mark oversees Cityspan systems used by more than 4,000 service programs nationally and advises clients on how best to leverage technology to maximize the impact of their programs.
Mark holds a Master of City and Regional Planning degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
Kara Johnson
DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Kara is responsible for Cityspan’s business development, sales and marketing initiatives. Prior to joining Cityspan, she was the director of operations for THINK Together, one of California’s largest nonprofit providers of education-based programs.
Kara holds an MA in Business from Vanguard University of Southern California. On weekends, she enjoys riding her Vespa or hiking around the Lafayette reservoir to take in the beautiful surroundings.
Mark Chuang
CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER
Mark is an application architect with more than 15 years experience developing database and Internet technologies. He oversees all aspects of Cityspan’s software development, including database design, application programming, and user interface development. In addition to his technical expertise, Mark’s experience working with government and non-profit agencies has given him a thorough understanding of the goals, business processes, and management challenges they face.
Mark holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley. A keen San Francisco Giants fan, Mark also enjoys cooking at home and eating out with his wife and toddler son.
Shomaila Hafeez
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND HUMAN RESOURCES
Shomaila works to recruit, train, and retain a high performing and motivated Cityspan team. She oversees all of Cityspan’s internal learning and development programs, compensation, benefits, and employee relations. In addition, she manages the company’s financial operations.
Part of the Cityspan team since 2008, she holds a BA in Social Welfare from the University of California at Berkeley. For Shomaila, a perfect Sunday would be one spent relaxing at home with her family over a cup or two of chai.
